When I tap on a Confide message in iMessage all it does is expand as an image.

There are two scenarios when this can happen:

  1. You haven’t yet updated to iOS 10. If this is the case, you will not be able to read the message. However, if you update to iOS 10 you should be able to send and receive Confide messages going forward.
  2. You have already updated to iOS 10 but Apple didn’t think you had updated at the time the message was sent. If this is the case, you will not be able to open this specific Confide message. However, you should be able to send and receive Confide messages going forward.

Can I view Confide for iMessage messages on my Mac or Apple Watch?

Unfortunately, you can’t. Neither Mac nor Apple Watch supports iMessage apps. You can only read the message on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 10.
