If you have recently reinstalled Confide or have gotten a new device, you likely have a new installation of Confide. Since all Confide messages are end-to-end encrypted, a unique encryption key must be generated for each installation before it can receive messages. If you have a new installation, you will not be able to read previously sent messages since they cannot be decrypted for that installation. However, you should be able to read the messages on your old device if it still has Confide installed. Regardless, you should be able to receive and read messages going forward.
We apologize for the inconvenience. This is one of the trade-offs to help ensure that your messages stay private and secure.
